First edition. 9 1/4" x 13" brown leather album, decorated in gold leaf on the front cover, twenty-nine pages with four 3 1/4" x 5" post cards of streetcars per page. Many of the post cards are in color as well as black & white. All are vintage examples and dated from the early 1900's to about 1948. The post cards are of street scenes in many of the smaller towns and cities throughout the entire U. S. A. In most post cards is a streetcar, the town and state, and the location in the town. Towns such as Knowlesville, NY, Milford & Fitchburg, MA, Tampa, FL, Pueblo, CO, Pittsburgh, PA, York & Williamsport, PA, Coeur d' Alene, ID, Elkhart, IN, Aurora & Joliet, IL, Jackson, MI, Sandusky, OH, Washington, D. C., NYC, NY, and much, much, more. An interesting and geographically diversified assembly of vintage streetcars in the towns where they traveled. Both the binder and the contents are in fine condition and beautifully preserved.
