Beautiful lithograph, signed by Schoonover and limited to 100 copies of which this is number 44. Depicts Hopalong with rifle drawn and well-armed sitting outside a western building on the alert for problems. Schoonover was a prolific contributor to books and magazines during the early twentieth century, the so-called "Golden Age of Illustration." He illustrated stories as diverse as Clarence Mulford's Hopalong Cassidy stories and Edgar Rice Burroughs's A Princess of Mars. Fine copy, suitable for framing.
