An interesting selection of 53 photographs taken at Native American pueblos and developed by the Langan Drug Company of Helena, Montana in 1929. The photograph sizes are 3 1/2" x 2 1/2," 3 1/2" x 4 1/2," and 2 3/4" x 4 1/2." Some of the photographs are captioned on the verso with identifying notations. Many contains views showing the architecture of the villages of the Hopi Mesas, Zuni and the village of Polacca, all located in the southwest of Arizona. A number of photographs provide views of people at work and two photographs have the words "Our House - Polacca," and "Ruth's House - Polacca," a village in First Mesa, Arizona. The photographs have been taken in Arizona and developed by J. H. Jorud Photography, Langan Drug Company, Helena, Montana on August 20, 1929. These types of photographs of Pueblo Indians are uncommon Photographs are in very good to fine condition.
