Double sided folded road map from March 1923 depicting roads into the Canadian Rockies. Specifically from Washington State into Alberta and British Columbia. The reverse side has two smaller maps – Grand Circle Tour that includes AZ, CA, ID, OR, WA, MT and just into Canada. The other is the auto circle tour of the Canadian Rockies. Two small photographs of Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise with some mileages listed between them. 16 ½” x 18” overall. The green paper sleeve lists places of interest and a hotel and garage sheet is glued to the back. Everything you would need for this wonderful driving tour. It is interesting to note that there were just over 30,000 registered motor vehicles in BC in 1923, and thus, it's unlikely that a great number of these maps were originally printed or retained. Very mild general wear on the map and the sleeve else a near fine booklet. SCARCE!
