One check is 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" and written on Sept. 19, 1910. It is check # 212 and displays the letterhead and photograph of Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Pawnee Bill's Far East. The check is made out to "Buffalo Bill Pawnee Bill in the amount of $168.75 and is signed as "Pawnee Bill's Wild West" and "G. W. Lillie Pawnee Bill." The check is endorsed in ink on the verso as "Buffalo Bill - Pawnee Bill Co -- G. W. Lillie Pawnee Bill." A few faint fold creases else a very good copy.
The second check is 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" and written on Sept. 16, 1939 and displays the letterhead of Pawnee Bill's Old Town and Indian Trading Post. The check is made out to "Nellie Ruffner" in the amount of $50.00 and drawn against the First National Bank of Pawnee, Oklahoma. The check is signed "G. W. Lillie." Nellie Ruffner was the housekeeper for Mr. & Mrs. Gordon W. Lillie. A few faint folds else a very good copy. The pair of checks:
