Poem is mounted on colored 8 1/2" x 11" stiff paper, along with a picture of Birch trees. Above the poem is a short biographical sketch of Joyce Kilmer that points out he was killed in action in 1918 near Ourcy, France during World War I. Kilmer's signature is in ink and is affixed to the bottom of the poem with the words "Milking the Cows" printed below the signature. There is a 1 1/2" closed tear to top edge, else near fine.
