Volume II: xi [blank], 372 pp., frontispiece (War Dance of the Sauks and Foxes), conclusion, former owner's inked name on front fly leaf, lightly rubbed at spine ends and corners, small "ding" to mid-point of front and rear fore-edges, else a very good, tight copy. Graff 2938 "The section dealing with Murray's stay among the Pawnees is especially valuable." Howes M 913 "Best account of the Pawnees while yet uncontaminated by whites." Notable for early descriptions pf the Pawnees before they were decimated by small pox. Very good, internally clean, tight set.
