Discusses Montreal and its history, its commercial life, religion, education, sports, etc. Information also on various excursions into the Laurentians to include Lachute-Ste. Agathe; Lachute - St. Jovite; Montreal-Terrebonne-St. Donat, offering information on activities, sites, etc. Information on railways serving this area; a fish and game calendar; customs regulations, tourists' outfits and sporting gear, and various road signs. 17 1/2" x 20 1/2" map entitled, "The Laurentian Promenade Highway Map," attached to inside of rear cover. Map shows main highways and other roads printed in black and also locations for deer, trout, bear, moose, partridge, etc. each printed in blue. Obverse offers a listing of various hotels, boarding houses, camps in Montreal and in the Laurentian Mountains along with names of proprietors, number of rooms, rates, and distances from stations; Fishing and hunting accommodations in Quebec; and golf courses around Montreal and in the Laurentians. Map has 1 1/2" closed tear to inside edge. Covers lightly soiled and with wear to the extremities. Small chip missing from bottom corner of rear wrapper and some ink removal from front wrapper. Center page loose from staples. Very good.
