First edition. Oblong 8vo. This edition, signed by the artist and hand bound, includes a signed copper etching print and is limited to one hundred copies of which this is number 52. Quarter leather and fabric covers, titles stamped in gilt on the spine, marble decorated front and rear endpapers, xiv + 186 pp., numerous illustrations in color, errata slip laid-in. Also laid-in is the original prospectus advising that the edition would contain 32 color plates and 57 black & white reproductions. A fine, bright copy in pictorial price-clipped dust jacket and housed in the original, bright red slipcase. An exceptional copy. Fred Harman was one of the five original founding members of the Cowboy Artists of America.
