He remained in the Pacific Northwest under the new owners and wrote the only extended account of the operations of the latter company in the Snake River country under Donald MacKenzie. In Volume II, Ross goes on to tell of his experiences as leader of the Snake Country Expedition in 1824 and of his return to the Red River settlements in 1825, in company with Governor Simpson."---Wagner/Camp 269.
