Publication: The Old Army Press, 1970, Bellevue

Second edition. 9" x 5 5/8" in orange pictorial wrappers. 37 pp., introduction, illustrations. Stiff pictorial wrappers, 32pp. Introduction by Capt. Michael J. Koury. Reproduces Terry's field diary from May 17 through August 22, 1876 and gives insight into events that occurred in this famous and disastrous military campaign. Terry's lack of experience fighting Indians and lack of strong leadership qualities resulted in the failure to manage and control Custer and his other senior officers. Also included is "The Official Report of General A.H. Terry" to the House of Representatives of the 44th Congress in 1876, as it pertains to the Yellowstone Expedition. Water mark to top edge of rear wrapper which has through soaked to last page along with light wear to the extremities. Very good.
