Containing an untitled map of railroad routes extending from Kansas City showing lines as they extend from Northwestern Kansas south through Oklahoma and Texas and west to Denver and New Mexico. Map shows the entirety of Kansas and Oklahoma, as well as the northern half of Texas, and the eastern parts of New Mexico and Colorado. This promotional pamphlet advertises lands in Bovina, Texas that are open for settlement. Bovina is located southwest of Amarillo near the New Mexico border. The pamphlet touches on several aspects of life in this country such as soil and water, climate, livestock, agriculture, and general settlement. Also discussed is fuel availability and building materials as well as values of lands and titles which belong to those lands. The South and West Land Company was headquartered in Chicago. Front and rear covers have a small old water stain which extends to the upper margin of each page with a small stain about the size of a thumb print, also a tiny nick to the cover and each page, else a good serviceable copy.
