Corners lightly bumped, minor edgewear, spine slightly cocked, spine sunned, edges of boards toned, partially sprung. Bookplate of Florence and Edward Kaye to front pastedown sheet. Front hinge started. Internally generally clean; text block toned on edges, bottom edge untrimmed, other edges trimmed, minor edgewear, top edge darkened. Dust jacket from Heinemann 1929 edition, unclipped (2s net); moderate edgewear, light chipping to head and foot of spine panel and corners, minor soiling on back panel, colors bright. Very good book with very good dust jacket. A story of a seemingly respectable woman and how greed and passion leads to murder.
