The first book about 'Grizzly Adams' who during his adventures, hunted and trapped in the Rocky Mountains, traveling east from California by way of the Walker River and the Humboldt Mountains to Salt Lake in 1854, where he spends the Fourth of July with the Mormons. From Salt Lake he continued to Fort Bridger and returned to California in August. Cowan says "Probably the most popular work of its time issued in California." Mild occasional foxing else a very good, clean and tight copy.
