The first Audley story, The Labyrinth Makers, winner of the Crime Writers' Association's Silver Dagger award, wasn't published until 1970. Roche is set to re-enlist a wartime agent whose special talents are urgently and mysteriously required by a new intelligence group in London. Excellent suspense.
