Publication: Pulpit Rock Press, 1989, Colorado Springs
First edition. 8vo. Pictorial wrappers, 64 pp., preface, illustrated mostly from photographs, maps, bibliography. Two photographs on the front cover depict the Lake House at Lake Moraine, completed in 1874, and had nine guest rooms that housed guests for a few years. The other photograph depicts the Seven Lake Hotel where construction began in 1875, and had at least twenty guest rooms. It was abandoned in 1890. Both were in the Pikes Peak region and each represented the history and fate of some of the finest mountain resorts in the Pikes Peak region. Fascinating reading with some excellent information. Fine copy.
