Much information on freighting by ox and mule teams, a trip in 1859 from Missouri to Salt Lake City, cattle driving, a man killed during a cattle stampede, Indians and buffalo, trouble on the border between Kansas and Missouri, travels to Fort Union, New Mexico by mule team train, etc. Much information on Santa Fe Trail travel. A few minor crease to the front cover else a fine copy.
