Twelve notable personalities pay tribute to Richard Harding Davis, including a nice three-page tribute by Theodore Roosevelt who tells of the time Davis joined his regiment of Rough Riders in Cuba and his heroic contributions to the success of the regiment. Other contributors are Winston Churchill, Booth Tarkington, Charles Dana Gibson, Irvin S. Cobb, Leonard Wood, and others. Lightly foxed, else a near fine copy in the original dust jacket with the initials R. H. D. printed on the spine panel.
