7 1/4" x 11" in brown covers, tied at the spine and with the title (Photographs) in guilt on front cover. [36] leaves displaying 73 photographs of various locations in the Caribbean and South America. Destination is neatly printed in white ink on each page. Black and white photographs measure 2 /34" x 4 1/2" and are attached directly to leaves. Photographers traveled aboard the M.V. Britannic, a British transatlantic ocean liner that was launched in 1929 and scrapped in 1960. She was the penultimate ship built for White Star Line before its 1934 merger with Cunard Line. Photographs include: M.S. Britannic in Martinique, the harbor of Charlotte Amelia, view of St. Thomas from Bluebeard's Castle, the botanical Gardens and Bluebeard's Castle in St. Thomas, Mt. Pelee, St. Pierre, several pictures of Fort Du France in Martinique, to include monuments, the cathedral, natives, etc., the Pitons in St. Lucia, Pitch Lake in Trinidad, Port of Spain, several photos of Caracas to include the country club, monuments, the Jardins del Capitolio, etc., the monastery in Cartagena, La Guayra in Venezuela, the harbor, canal, Fort Amsterdam and street scene in Curacao, St. Georges, several photos of Grenada to include a photo of native divers in St. Georges, the harbor in Kingston, Jamaica along with Victoria Park, the promenade at Myrtlebank Hotel, Morro Castle in Havana, monument "Remember the Maine," along with the Presidential Palace and "La Prado" in Havana. All photographs in fine condition.
