5 1/2" x 8 1/2" in tan suede covers showing embossed title (Yellowstone Park), a bear and the Lower Falls. String tied and with snap wraparound. (66) pp. containing 118 black and white photographs, each measuring 2 3/4" x 4 1/4," and glued onto heavy black paper. All images are identified in neatly-written white ink beneath each image. Album begins in French, Minnesota. "We started on our trip to the Black Hills and Yellowstone Park on Wed. Aug. 8, 1928 at 3:20 o'clock P.M., and containing a four-page chronological list of towns traveled through, the photographs, and ending with, "Home again 2:00 A.M. Sunday Morning Aug. 19. 1928." Images include a parade in Deadwood, South Dakota, showing cow girls, cavalry troop from Fort Meade, cowboys, Indians, scenery, roadside stops, wildlife, hotels, The Needles, monuments, oil derricks, cowboy Slim Collins of Dubois Wyoming, ranch scenes, Yellowstone River, geysers, Ranger cabin on Mt. Washburn, Mammoth lodge and hut built of antlers, Bill Hart statue, Medora ND, buttes in ND, State Capitol Building in Bismarck, etc. A nicely presented album.
