Front cover features the PHANTOM, winner of the Detroit News International Trophy, which won every heat of the race at Detroit in which it was permitted to start, and established the fastest official time for one lap, (2 1/2 statute miles at 43.85 miles per hour) and the fastest official time for one heat (15 statute miles at 42.9 miles per hour). At Red Bank, New Jersey, "Phantom" averaged 45.89 miles per hour for 15 miles, previous to the Detroit race. Also includes information about other powered boats plus numerous testimonials from owners of boats using Gray Marine engines. There are ten photographs of Gray engines which run in horse power from 5 to 144 h.p. and are priced from $289.00 to $1,285.00. Lightly rubbed along the spine panel, small corner crease to bottom of front cover that diminishes to nothing at page 11, else a very good, clean copy.
