The Edgar is presented for the Best Mystery Short Story of 1950. The award, a nine inch, fine porcelain bust of Edgar Allen Poe, is colored white, black, and purple and is lettered in gold on the base with the words M. W. A. AWARD 1951. The bottom inside of the base is marked with the letter "B" surrounded by three black stars. Blochman won this award for his short story DIAGNOSIS: HOMICIDE. Documentation will be included. Edgar Awards rarely appear on the market place and this is a terrific piece to add to any mystery collection, and this is the earliest Edgar Award to be offered for sale.
