Rear cover shows a steamship and the Alaska Territorial flag, along with a 12-line poem by Marie Drake. (24)pp plus fold-out strip map. The map, printed on both sides, folds out to 24" x 4 1/2" with one side showing the Alaskan coastline, and the verso showing the coastlines of Alaska and British Columbia, along with descriptive text. Total of 11 pages of printed text and 11 lined and illustrated pages for autographs. Present are 65 autographs of passengers on the cruise, also noting their hometowns. The passenger entries, mostly in pencil and a few in ink, include: the Van Valkenburghs of Coronado, California; the Spauldings of Juneau, Alaska; Irene Dunnigan of Sitka, Alaska; R.B. McCracken of Denver; Emma L. Evans of Salt Lake City; Eva Holmes of Astoria, Oregon; A.J. LaGasa of Petersberg, Alaska; Janet Cassidy of Butte, Montana; M.H. Grannatt of Ridgewood, NJ; Florence Nicholson of Pawtucket, RI; Josephine Lien of San Francisco; etc. The text includes a five-page description, "Northbound from Seattle through Inside Passage," and three pages devoted to "Juneau to Seward en route to 'The Westward'." Very good.
