They are contained in "The American Catholic Review" Volume II, From January to October, 1877." The articles describe the Little Big Horn Battle, how it looked after 48 hours, Crook, Powder River, Sitting Bull, etc. Dustin 117: "A most important work written very soon after the campaign from General Gibbon's diaries. Unknown to most writers and very scarce. Indispensable to the student." Leather corners lightly rubbed else a very good tight copy.
