Scarce early automobile guide for Jamaica, providing a general history and description of the island and its principal towns, description of the most common tourist itineraries, and practical information for the traveler--including the country's motor laws, enacted in 1905. An extensive advertising section includes advertisements for steamer lines, auto touring companies, taxis, hotels, and local purveyors of rum, sugar, cigars, wine, clothing, and other merchandise. One of the maps simply shows Jamaica's location in the Caribbean, but the other is a tourist map of the island with motor routes indicated in red and profile of the Jamaica Railway line from Kingston to Montego Bay. Agent's stamp on front cover and first page, spine resewn with cloth and original front and rear covers laid-down, else a very good copy of a scarce item.
