Light blue, decorated cloth, titles and decorations stamped in white on the front cover and spine, decorated front and rear endpapers, viii, 758 pp., double column, foreword, numerous black & white illustrations from photographs, maps, glossary, index. Turner Valley is a bit south and west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and this book provides a wonderful history of the area. Included are early settlers, prominent residents, much on the Turner Valley Oilfields, ranching, farming, and livestock growers, honor role along with photographs of those who served during World War I and II, local institutions, growth of the communities, the Royal Canadian Legion, numerous family histories, etc. Much on the Turner Valley Oilfields and the people and oil companies that operated there. A small bump to the top corner of the front cover, else a near fine copy of a very interesting book.
