Gray cloth with decorations and titles stamped in gilt and maroon on the front cover and spine, all edges gilt, front and rear endpapers in black, 532 pp., illustrated from photographs, drawings, maps, three color folding maps, advertisements. This book is full of pertinent information regarding scenery and descriptions throughout New York State and some portions of lower Canada including routes and rates, views of homes, buildings, natural wonders, steam boat and stage lines, hotels, boarding houses, farm houses that take Summer boarders, wonderful pictures of city hotels along the entire route, and much, much more. The folding maps depict in color, the Lake Region of central New York; Richelieu & Ontario Nav. County between Kingston and Montreal and between Quebec and Saguenay River; and a map of the Adirondack Mountains. Many advertisements promote hotel lodgings along with services and products along the route. An attractive near fine copy in the original moderately rubbed dust jacket that is internally reinforced with archival tape with spine darkened and small chips and nicks to the spine and extremities.
