First edition. 45 x 64 cm [17 1/2" x 25"] original spine-stapled yellow paper, 12 pp. printed one side only, illustrated, 12 maps. The contents include: Old Adobi Fort, Fort John later Fort Laramie, (plus four other plans of Fort Laramie in Wyoming Territory); Fort Phil Kearney, Wyoming Territory; Plan of Fort Fetterman, Wyoming Territory; Plan of Fort McPherson, Nebraska; Plan of Fort Sedgwick, Colorado; Fort Niobrara, Cherry County, Nebraska; Fort Kearney, N. T.; and Military Reservation for Sidney Barracks and Plan of Sidney Barracks, Nebraska. Some light creases and chips to the fore-edges (not affecting any of the drawings or text), vertical and horizontal creases, and a small hole at the center caused by having been folded for an extended time period, else a very good copy. OCLC locates only one copy at Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University. Their copy states "Reproduction." A very rare military item.
