Brown embossed cloth covered photograph album with 112 pp (unpaginated) of thick black paper stock, with 327 silver gelatin vernacular snapshots and commercial photographs sized between 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" up to 3 1/2" x 5 1/4", as well as some real photograph postcards (RPPC) sized 3 1/4" x 5 1/4." All images are mounted with black corners, and all are neatly identified next to each image in white ink. This remarkably well-annotated photograph album filled with 327 images, documents the automobile trek of two Reading, PA teachers to Glacier National Park, followed by visits to Banff National Park, Lake Louise, and the Canadian Rockies. She opens the album with visits to the Indian Mounds Park in St. Paul, MN, views of Glacier, Glacier Park Twin Falls, the summer “wigwams” of the Blackfeet Indians, scenery en-route to Glacier Hotel, images of Lake Josephine, Grinnell Glacier, the Prince of Wales Hotel on Waterton Lake, rows of grain elevators alongside the Canadian highways, and more. In addition, there are views of Native American teepee on Bow Lake at Banff, bears mooching food in the parks, the Beehive at Lake Louise, scenes along the road to Moraine Lake, the Athabasca Glacier, the Jasper Highway, as well as the cottages and scenery around the Jasper Park Lodge. Other scenic views along their trip include Mt. Cavell, Angel Glacier, Mountains Fitzwilliam and Franchere, Yellowhead Lake, and then a visit to the Kicking Horse Canyon Tea Room and bear visitors. They finish off their tour across Western Canada by visiting Vancouver, BC, Victoria, BC, including a tour along Malahat Drive, into Goldstream Park Canyon, and a picturesque visit to the Butchart Gardens. Wolfkill (1882-1960), travel enthusiast and subscriber to the Dill Travel Bureau, was a longtime Pennsylvania public school teacher, high school principal, and later head of the Reading High School Department of Mathematics, and Rose Greenawalt (1874-1972), was a longtime family friend and fellow travel enthusiast who had traveled both to Sweden in 1935 with Wolfkill, as well as Brazil in 1938. Minor wear to the cloth binder with interior neat and in fine condition with all photographic images bright and with strong contrast. An exceptional presentation.
