First edition. 12mo. Green pebbled cloth, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover, 243 pp., foreword, introduction, illustrated, frontispiece. Contains biographies and accounts of 19 pioneers who crossed the Plains to Colorado, including L. H. Shepard, the author's father, and tells of their trip. Herd 1034 says "Some early ranching in Colorado." The author wrote several books about her life and experiences in the Rocky Mountains, and all are scarce to rare. A fine, bight copy.
