First edition. 18 1/4" x 12" sheet, map on one side, 12 panels on the other, illustrated, map, folds down to 6" x 3 1/8." The map is of Devils Lake, North Dakota, and vicinity which includes the town of Devil's Lake, the Sioux Indian Reservation, Fort Totten, Dana's Grove, several smaller area lakes, etc. Service to Devil's Lake is via the St. Paul, Minneapolis & Manitoba Railway. At 3 corners of this side are views of Dana's Grove, the ferry on Devil's Lake, and a scene overlooking the lake. The other side has 12 panels that provide information about Devil's Lake and vicinity with comments on the climate, boating and fishing, hunting, points of interest, Fort Totten, the Indian Reservation, the Indian Mission School, availability of government lands for sale, the sanitarium, business prospects, etc. Wear to a few fold points, a small piece removed from a margin edge that does not affect either the map or the text, lightly soiled, else a good copy.
