A description of the decorative arts of the Sioux based on data secured by the author while on a Museum expedition of 1902. The primary objective was to secure for comparative study a collection of typical decorative designs, with information as to the ideas and motives involved in their execution. Plates show designs of moccasins, small pouches, strike-a-light pouches, pipe and tobacco bags, girls' dresses, woman's dress, man's robe, paint bags, leggings, scalp shirt, waist coats, coats, etc. Penciled writing and stamped address on front cover, front and rear covers have small chips to the extremities, else internally clean and tight, else a very good copy.
