9" X 13". A probable 19th century wood engraving that has been printed or reproduced in a numbered edition of 100 prints, of which this is #24. The initials P.J.B. appears next to 24/100. Of unknown origin to us, this engraving suffers from the usual inaccurate depiction of Custer's last battle....lots of action with mounted soldiers brandishing sabres and numerous Indians shooting rifles and pistols from behind standing and falling trees. Custer is at the center of the action. A striking image that seems to fit in with the Custer myth and mystery. Fine condition.
