Many maps and photographs (furnished by the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum) join the author’s text to tell the story of early day ranching in the Texas Panhandle. Just a few of the fifty Texas Panhandle ranches profiled include XIT, Turkey Tracks, Four Sixes, Long S, LS, Diamond F, Diamond Tail, Frying Pan, Half Circle K, Spade, Rocking Chair, and Charles Goodnight’s JA.
