This book is a memoir of life in Lincoln County, New Mexico from 1888 onwards, when the author came with his family as a young boy, to a small ranch in the Three Rivers Valley, which was still echoing with Apache raids. He becomes a manager of an Indian reservation trading post. This is followed by a spell as missionary to an Indian tribe. He ends his career as a city clergyman. Fine copy.
