First edition. Oblong 8vo. One of a limited edition of 100 specially bound volumes signed by the author and the artist and accompanied by the bronze A CO BAR BULL. This is copy 2. The CO BAR BULL is not present but on page 11 is a drawing of a horse signed by Bill Owen with a message in Owen's hand that reads, "To Gov. Bruce Babbitt, I hope you enjoy this book of your heritage. It was a real pleasure to be a part of it. Bill Owen." Apparently the good Governor sold the book and kept the bull. Quarter leather and cloth, titles stamped in gold gilt on the front cover and spine, brown front and rear endpapers, CO BAR logo on front fly leaf, xii, 107 pp., foreword, introduction, frontispiece, illustrated, full-page color plates, maps, selected bibliography, art index, awards, index, acknowledgments. Ranch history of the Babbitt family's CO Bar Ranch of Arizona. Fine copy housed in a full leather slipcase.
