Text includes a comprehensive street guide to Chicago, city railway guide, railroad and transportation companies, express companies, steamboat lines, banks, foreign consuls, booksellers and stationers, schools, churches, libraries and reading rooms, public halls, blocks and buildings, bus and cab conveyance companies, theaters, etc. The colored map of Chicago is folded and unfolds to 20" x 14 3/8" and besides the streets and avenues also provides the location of suburbs and subdivisions. The map is in fine condition. The cloth case is moderately frayed along the spine panel, light wear to the corners, and the back hinge is becoming loose internally, an overall very good copy.
