Original bronze bookends by Western artist and sculptor Gerry Metz (1943-2018). One bookend is The Trapper which the bronze is 6 1/2" x 4" x 2," signed in bronze: "gerry metz / 12/100 / AB." The other bookend is The Warrior which the bronze is 6 1/2" x 4" x 2 1/2," signed in bronze: "gerry metz / 12/100 /AB." The wood bases each measure 9" x 6 1/2" x 6 1/2." The bookends weigh approximately 15 1/2 pounds together. Gerry Metz was born on July 22, 1943 and passed away peacefully in Cave Creek, AZ on December 16, 2018 at the age of 75. His memory and artistic creations will live on in the form of his paintings and many public sculptures found in and around Scottsdale, AZ and throughout the United States. An attractive set of bookends.
