First edition. 16 pp., each 9" x 8" and folded in half and housed in 9" x 4" colorful pictorial wrappers showing an illustration of a geyser on front and rear wrappers. Double-column text. Overview of the Northern Pacific Railway followed by information on what one can expect to see along his trip from Seattle through the Northwest to include Yellowstone. Information on the railway's "Monad," steamship agencies to and through the Orient, and with general information for the traveler. Double-page system map at center showing lines from Chicago to Seattle and south to St. Louis and Galveston. Black and white photographs throughout include pictures of Tacoma Stadium, the Cascade Mountains, Portland Harbor, Butte's mining camp, railroad station in Missoula, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, the Bad Lands, Chicago street scene, stock yards in Chicago, scenery, harbor scenes, etc. Previous owners name neatly stamped to top of front cover along with light soiling and light wear to the extremities of both covers. Very good.
