Narrative of a train trip west via the Judson-Alton Excursions, beginning at the Northern Union Station in Boston and traveling by way of the Boston & Maine Railroad; the Falls Route of the West Shore Railroad; the Nickel Plate of the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad; the Alton Road of the Chicago & Alton Railroad; the Missouri Pacific Railway; the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad; the Great Salt Lake Route of the Rio Grande Western Railway; and the Sunset Ogden & Shasta Routes of the Southern Pacific Railroad, the trip eventually ending in Los Angeles. Devotes eight pages of text and views to the Mormons, Salt Lake City, Provo, etc. 16 pages (including rear wrapper) of advertisements. 38 pp. of views from photographs, some pages with 2 pictures. Wrapper lightly soiled and with bumping to corners and light wear to extremities and toe of spine. Additional 1/4" closed tear to top edge of front wrapper and first 2 pages. Very good. A thorough and very interesting booklet. Not in Flake, Mormon Bibliography or Supplement.
