A five-piece collection of ephemera related to a trip to South America in 1922. The lot includes: 1) 10" x 7" dinner menu from Munson Steamship Lines, S.S. Western World, Wednesday, July 19, 1922. Printed by Malcolm & Hayes, N.Y. Executive staff includes L.H. Porter, Commander. Dinner offers Consomme Royal, Poached Fillet of Kennebec Salmon, Sweetbread Financiere in Tartelette, Tournedeau de Boeuf aux Champignon a la Western World, Savoy Pudding, Lemon Meringue Pie, etc. Light soiling and with wear to extremities and fold. 2) Manson Steamship Lines. 9" x 8" white sheet, folded to 4 panels and offering schedules, rates, and information on passports, Argentine, Uruguayan, Brazilian, and United States regulations. Brochure with light soiling and very minor wear to the extremities. 3) 6" x 12 1/4" folding brochure card, folded to 6 panels on cardboard stock. Cover panel entitled, "Tarifa de Pasajes y Fletes;"one mailing panel; one panel entitled "Empresa Andina del Sud;" opens to 3 panels offering a color map from Lao Llanquihue to Lago Nahuel Guapi. Inset is a scale of altitudes and distances. Light soiling and light wear to extremities. 4) 40" x 40" color map of Brazil entitled, "Carte des Etats-Unis du Bresil Politiqe Economique & Voies de Communication. Ca 1920. Inset is a 7" x 7 3/4" map of time zones in Brazil. Also inset are 2 street maps, each measuring 9" x 10 ½," one of Sao Paulo and the other of Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, an 11" x 14" inset map entitled "Bresil Central" and showing the ports along the coast. 1" closed tear to top edge of map as well as small holes at 4 folds. 5) 30" x 40" Argentine Railways map issued by Buenos Aires & Pacific Company, Ltd. Railway. 1920. Light soiling and chipping and small closed tears to edges.
