First edition. 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" printed folder, fold-out view strip with 23 panels, two panels with statistics and the rest with captioned views of farm and city scenes. Amerland was a local realtor and was providing information and views in order to promote the area and his business. Views of the post office, City Hall, the library, Masonic Temple, court house, state fair views, Agricultural College buildings, high school, grain elevators, The Waldorf Hotel, Fargo College, banks, corner of N. P. Avenue and Broadway showing trolleys, etc. At the time of publication, Fargo had 6 banks, 25 wholesale houses, 14 manufacturing businesses, 3 transcontinental railroads, 4,000 miles of railroad over which to distribute goods, 2 daily papers, 15 miles of strett railway, 15 miles of paved streets, paid fire department, Agricultural College and Experimental station, Fargo College, 2 business colleges, 1 high school, 7 graded schools, public library, a new Y. M. C. A., 22 churches, 7 hospitals and infirmaries, and a population of 15,000 people. Very good copy.
