First edition. Author's first book using this pseudonym. Cloth lightly rubbed else near fine in dust jacket with some light professional restoration to the spine ends and corners. Peter Cutler Sargeant III is hired to obtain favorable media coverage for a ballet company which is being accused of having a "communist" choreographer. Then the Company's prima donna is murdered on stage as she falls in ballet's "fifth position," and we, as readers, are treated to a superb satire about professional dancers and two more gruesome deaths.
