Publication: Shell-Mex & BP Limited, 1956, London
Second edition. 5 1/4" x3 1/2" in flexible black leather covers. 255 pp. Contents. Preface. Tables. Index. Shell-Mex and BP Ltd was a British joint venture between petroleum companies Royal Dutch Shell (Shell) and BP. It was formed in 1932 when both companies decided to merge their United Kingdom marketing operations, partly in response to the difficult economic conditions of the times. Book offers 110 tables. "The purpose of the booklet remains, that is, to provide a limited collection of useful tables in handy pocket book form for use by those concerned with the manufacture, handling, marketing or application of products obtained from petroleum." Page 13 with 2 tiny closed tears to the page edge. Very good plus.
